I second what Ryan wrote.

It has about reached a point that I no longer do any carpet. I have not put in any carpet this year at all, only laminate. I may find from time to time that it is worth it to put carpet in a bedroom but it sure is nice to have a tenant move out and there is nothing to do but sweap, mop and go.

I too worried about the windows but the green backed boarding helps and I try and run my rows parallel to to the windows so that in the event a repair is necessary I hope that I can just quickly pull up a row or two as necessary and then repair the subfloor and replace the laminate if that becomes necessary. Even if these new couple of rows don't match exactly, it will still be better than most mobile homes and certainly meets my "good enough for trailers" standard. Besides, once the put a bed in these rooms, you only see the flooring that perimeters the bed (about 2 feet wide) and most put their beds or furniture against the window wall anyways.
