Got an email offline and thought the reply might benefit others... Don't be afraid to ask questions on the board folks, There are some Really great people here!!!

"if you meant some type of vinyl laminate sheet/pieces " Tried them with very poor results, every strip had a white line at the edges that looked awful and they ended up being nothing more than expensive vinyl sticky tiles.


"I just wanted to clarify what you were talking about." I'm talking about the wood laminate flooring commonly sold under the trade name Pergo, I use an off brand German import green board. The cheaper stuff comes in 2 grades, white board and green board... I can get 7 mil white board for about .60 per sq ft. and 8.3 mil green board for .99 sq ft., the green board is well worth the investment!
