Greg, is that 30 mil or 3 mil? I would say we all should be able to use what we have as, unless I'm wrong, isn't this underlayment's main purpose just a vapor barrier.
I have installed much laminate and ceramic tile in our own home and my wife bought one of those little steam mops which works excellent. Floors get barely damp, dry in seconds, and no sticky residue.
I did a whole house after it was flooded in August 2007 and even though this rental has a bad floor plan, I had very little scrap, another very big advantage over carpet. Gary
