Getting the right individual is really important, as is developing a stable of bankers because policies & personnel can change overnight. I usually have to do a bit of gentle educating because many bankers do not grasp the realities of deal-making. I find they have to be nurtured, & that like CPAs & attorneys I have to know more about their jobs & needs to allow them to give me good advice & service.
Tip: I've never met a banker here in NC that doesn't like chocolate or a simple, but thorough proposal. Hmmm, & a bottle of champagne @ closing. You get extra points by asking for advice (but that's true of almost everyone).
If you need referrals, use my website to contact me directly. Also, there are a lot of good NC folks on the MH Forum on this site.
