Bye, Bye Job!

My name is Derek Pierce, and I live in Alabama. I have just taken one of the biggest steps in my life by becoming a full time RE investor. First of all, I always thought that I wanted to be a corporate man and hold a big title with a big company. After about a year with a wireless phone carrier, I discovered that it wasn't for me. I started reading articles on this web site and as many books by Robert Kiyosaki that I could. The information that I received has changed my life. While I worked full time I started by buying a couple of houses. I had three before going to the CRE Online Convention in Atlanta this year. After hearing William Bronchick, Jon Burley and Ed Garcia, I knew what I had to do. I went back to my room in the hotel and wrote out my 90-day goals: to quit my job in 90 days or less. But wait, all of the doubts were there because I have a family just like a lot of others. But the information that I received from the convention and the courses that I purchased helped to give me the knowledge and courage that I needed. Since I have come back home, I have bought two houses that I am holding. And I have put three houses and one mobile home under contract that I am flipping with a double close to other investors to make over $15K in cash money! All of these deals have happened in about the last 6-8 weeks. This was all of the proof I needed to make that next step. In closing, I accomplished my 90-day goal. I quit my job on June 22, 2001, six days short of my 90th day. It is strange how we can become lucky if we only plan our future to be lucky.
