Although I've written many proposals (mostly on separate real estate deals), I'm now writing (for the first time) a full business plan (primarily) for a venture capitalist who wants to invest money with me (in a new RE Investing related venture).
At times I feel that the plan might be too detailed. For instance, my marketing and sales section is 6 pages long (including 2 pages of 2 small charts). Is this normal?
I don't think I 'm giving any company secrets away but I am trying to be detailed enough to show the investor that I know this business and what it takes to be successful at it.
At this point, my business plan is scheduled to be about 27 pages long. Is this too long for a real estate investing company?
Thanks in advance,
Ib
