I'd be curious to know some of the criteria you use to judge a good candidate for aquisition.
Are you looking for things like:
The ratio of employees to gross sale or net
Existing advertising channels in place (yellow pages, website, etc)
Depth of community involvement both commercially and socially
Competence of management
Outlook on viabilty trending
Lease structure going forward
Community growth or decline
In other words what broad perspectives do you use to judge beside financial statements. I'm guessing you are looking to add growth or at least add enough tweeks so that the bottom line looks healthier after a period of your ownership.
Thanks for posting this thread, btw, I'm a serial start-up guy and this whole concept intrigues me.
