What records/evidence is there that the property was sold? You say
there is no paperwork but then how do you know there is a deed
floating around out there?How many years are you talking about? How many years did the family
member receive and pay the tax bill....and how is it that he didn't know
it was sold?Is/was the buyer someone using the property, or someone who owned
other property adjacent? Do you know anything about the buyer?
