When I said "deserve," I mean "entitled to." No one is entitled to your money--it is yours to choose how to use. Cases can be made, though, for what the highest and best uses of it are, and that has been the point of this discussion.
I agree that if I did my job right as a parent, they won't need the money--That is the very reason why I will give it to someone who truly does need money instead of someone who doesn't need it and just happens to be lucky enough to be related to me.
